This fact was established during the research which have been carried out at the University of Florida. Hither Gibson, the University professor of the tourism Department has interrogated 50 women in the age of from 20 till 63 years from USA and the Great Britain. The women have informed that their single travel inspires more, than frightens. Many of them already made the most different trips: spent weekends in New York and Washington or flew through ocean to visit the East Europe and even Africa. Some combined pleasant with useful: had a rest in Mexico, in parallel being engaged in teaching of English as the second language. As a whole impressions from single voyages appeared positive, and only one of 50 interrogated has told about how she was kidnapped by the owner of shop on Near East.
The majority women say that they prefer single travel because it is the best way to find new friends. For example, one American lady has told, that by the moment when her plane reached the destination, she has had time to get acquainted with five people. Also research has revealed the distinctions between generations. 40-60-year-old travelers were compelled to postpone plenty of home and work duties while 20-30-year-old ones appeared to be much more free. Therefore many of them already had time to visit more than 40 countries.
