The other day one Siberian has established a record: a fan of extreme tourist from Tomsk has made a single travel crossing the lake Baikal. He has managed to pass 1800 kilometers of the frozen Baikal for 61 days. He called from the city of Slijudiansk, which is situated near the southern coast of the lake Baikal, to the committee of tourism in Tomsk and said about it.
The Siberian who is 48 years old has broken a record that was established some years ago by the Polish traveler named Jashua Bohenkema. It took this traveler 64 days to cross the lake Baikal.
The traveler from Tomsk had only food and a tent with him. He pulled everything on the sledges and sometimes he had to overpass long way with the cracks in the ice. He walked 45 kilometers in the last day of his travel. The traveler is going to return to his native city by train.
