Can a woman travel alone?

Single travel. Should we go on such kind of a trip or not? Very often we come across such a question when we have decided to have a good rest. On the one hand we want just to have a good rest somewhere with a nice mild climate, to swim, sunbathe, maybe to see the sights. Sometimes we are so sick and tired of people and everyday routine that just want to stay alone. On the other hand we always hear that it is very dangerous for a woman to travel alone. We should always have someone reliable to depend on. We can be easily deceived and get into trouble. Is it true or false? Let's discuss it.

Men say that a woman should be a lunatic to be involved in a single travel! It is written in all guidebooks, in tourist magazines and representatives of the tourist organizations constantly speak about it. Why go anywhere alone if there is an opportunity to have someone very reliable beside you. Someone you can rely on, someone who can help you in any situation. Everyone is convinced that it is practical, except... women who consider single travel to be an amusing adventure making them free and independent. By the way sometimes women turn out to be more decisive and experienced than men, they have a better intuition and thus they can definitely find a better and more correct decision in a problem situation. We should keep in mind that nowadays it is men, not women, who are the weaker sex. Secondly, during such a single travel they are not limited to the choice of a route and all that routine. This fact was established during the research which has been carried out by the University of Florida. Heather Gibson, the professor Rest and Tourism Department of the university. We have interrogated 50 women in the age of from 20 till 63 years from USA and the Great Britain. The interviewees informed us that as for them such kind of single travel inspires them rather than frightens.
