In Russia this intention is similar to a kind of epidemic: in the western MASS-MEDIA I came across such a cynical joke, that Russian ladies make one of main articles of the Russian export - alongside with petroleum and other natural resources. For some inexplicable reason Russian ladies are inclined to think, that "overseas prince" will be the decision of all their problems. One more thing is evident also: from announcements sometimes one can feel the underestimated self-estimation and full absence of self-respect, that, in turn prompts foreigners to think that Russian ladies will reconcile with everything and forgive all sorts of sins even those that will never be forgiven by women in your country.
In Russia even recently the marriage with the foreigner was considered as a kind of high treason, and anyway was not encouraged. Most Russian ladies are well-educated, but it's not the point that foreigners are mostly interested in. They are eager to have an obedient and beautiful wife, a good mother for their future children. But foreign men are really good and reliable husbands and fathers that is why probably we can see so many announcements in newspapers and magazines. In all these announcements there is a great wish of a Russian lady to find a nice person for a marriage, actually no matter whether he is a foreigner or not. Russian ladies can be happy both with foreign and Russian men.
