With such an address, it is very hard to be accepted by major search engines like AltaVista or Yahoo! Even if it happens, the Web site of a Russian agency has virtually no chance to have top listing - in the first results page. Search engines give sites a rating based on their popularity - how many other web sites have links to your page, and a small agency would find it very hard to compete with huge Western clubs that are linked by thousands of sites. Russian marriage agencies do not spend money on promoting their Web sites, so they are only attended by men who browse the "dating directories" (Web sites that provide a list of marriage agencies' addresses).
The men who have only started their search almost never go to dating directories. They just type "Russian women" or "Russian brides" in the search line, and go to the first agencies that come up in the results list, or they have already heard something about a certain agency and immediately go to its Web page. In both cases, they would not see the site of your Russian agency.
The dating directories are usually visited by men, who already have some experience in searching for "brides", and had no luck with girls from specialized agencies, or who are too stingy to buy addresses. Another category of marriage directory visitors comprises men with a low income level and a lot of free time to browse through Web sites of small marriage agencies (the connection with Russian sites is notoriously slow due to the terrible condition of Russian phone lines), and to send letters to girls "for free".
By the way, this "free" mailing business is going to cost you money - usually Russian marriage agencies request a fee for the letters received for you (5 to 20 rubles a sheet). This is not because they are so greedy, but because receiving and printing your letters is not cheap for them - paying for the Internet connection, for the time spent online, for the paper, amortization of the computer and printer, ink for the printer, etc. On the whole, if you have your profile on the agency's site, it is going to be more trouble than real results.
